Breakouts & Overperformers

Week 2 produced several players who exceeded expectations and might now be weekly starters:

  • Malik Nabers (WR, Giants): His 37-point PPR night, boosted by a deep touchdown, immediately makes him one of the most impactful rookies so far. The volume, yards after catch, and big-play ability all scream sustainable upside.
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR, Lions): With three touchdowns, strong yardage, and big plays, he’s showing elite receiver upside and proving that he’s more than just a volume play—he’s a scoring machine.
  • Ja’Marr Chase (WR, Bengals): Even though his QB situation isn’t perfect, his week was excellent. High target share, strong yards, and consistent red-zone usage. Chase still looks like one of the top fantasy WRs you can rely on.
  • Rome Odunze (WR, Bears): He delivered in critical moments, making contested catches and scoring twice. For a player still early in his development, that kind of performance boosts not just his stock but fantasy credibility.
  • Breece Hall (RB, Jets): Hall rushed for over 100 yards and looked explosive. He seems more hittable in the passing game now than before, which adds to his fantasy value.
  • Justin Fields (QB, Steelers): His mobile skillset helped produce again—some rushing yards + better decision making in the pocket. He’s no longer just a matchup play; he’s trending toward QB1 territory on good weeks.
